In the beginning
- About nine years ago I moved to Coldspring then thought "Oh
no, I've died and gone to food hell"! So the restaurant was
built mainly in self-defense.
Our vision - Besides great food with a great atmosphere,
I also missed social events the big city so readily offers. So,
while we do turn off the burners at 10:00 p.m., we'll never send
you home early. We've been know to hang round with good friends,
good wine and good cigars till the weeeeee hours of the morning.
You noticed - We've been blessed to be written
up in Texas Highways Magazine (June 2003), the Houston Chronical
and the Sam Houston State University newspaper. Rumor has it that
Texas Monthly is interested in putting our name in print as well.

It ain't easy - We work hard to provide great
food and it is challanging being sooooo far away from food suppliers.
We drive a long way to get the goods, but we don't mind. The
compliments we receive are well worth the effort.
Our goal is to create an experience for you, your friends, your
family and or your co-workers.
It's not fast food - Long ago I learned that
the Europeans have a very different way of eating a meal...they
make it an experience; they take hours...and so do we! We don't
deep fry anything and we are not a fast food joint. Good things
come to those who wait and great things come to those who wait
longer!
You're going to love us - On Friday &
Saturday nights we dim the lights and light candles throughout
the restaurant and on the deck. Bring your spouse and enjoy
a romantic evening. If you have kids and no sitter we have a
room fully equipped with a TV, VCR and DVD player...
We want you to feel at home and sometimes you'll be SO at home
you may have to get your own ice if you need a refill, or your
own wine glass if someone joins you late, but don't worry, we'll
show you where everything is.
We are open Thurs-Sat 11-2 and 6-10 catering to weekenders and
people who love fine food.
Party on the Patio is the first Thursday of every month 7-11pm.
